Job Overview: A Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst manages complex accounts receivable actions, bankruptcy responses, litigations, focusing on timely payments, accurate reconciliations, and dispute resolution for the bank. They drive collections, ensure adherence to bank policies, and provide updates on collection progress. They also lead accounts receivable activities, including billing, customer collections, and maintaining accurate customer records. All transactions are processed with timeliness, accuracy, and assuring compliance with policies and procedures. Collaborates and assists in collection activities for the entire bank.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bankruptcies – Primarily responsible for executing and administering all actions required in a bankruptcy filing to protect the Falcon National Bank and minimize any potential losses. This includes but is not limited to timely filing of Proofs of Claims, Lifts of Stay, and all other bankruptcy actions.
- Civil Litigation – Responsible for executing and administering all collection actions that include civil litigation actions. This includes but is not limited to summary judgement proceedings and replevin actions.
- Responsible for collection of accounts over 30 days delinquent, including but not limited to: soliciting payment arrangements on delinquent loans, interviewing customers to determine reason for delinquency, taking appropriate action to resolve the account (could include loan modifications or loan workouts), counseling customers concerning their financial obligations and offering suggestions and alternatives, recommending further action as deemed necessary (i.e. repossession, legal action, foreclosure, referral to collection agency), skip tracing as necessary to locate customers and posting loan payments.
- Vendor management of all law firms and attorneys approved by Falcon National Bank Management that the bank uses to facilitate collection actions.
- Collection activities, perform collections on all accounts, when necessary, by phone, email, text, or mail.
- Research disputed delinquent account balances, by investigating and collaborating with internal teams like Sales, Documents, Finance and Falcons servicing providers.
- Generates reports on the portfolio status, key metrics, outstanding issues, and identifying current trends.
- Ensures compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures and relevant financial regulations, including those related to collection practices.
- Makes recommendations by data analysis for industry trends to management.
- Identifying and supporting processes improvements to enhance efficiency, and leverage automation.
- Completes assigned work out reports in a timely manner
- Conduct Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) checks as needed
- Prepare notice of intent and notice of sales
- Secures outside firms to assist with the recovery of assets and resale of assets
- Coordinate invoices and payments for storage, repairs etc. associated with off-lease equipment.
- Performs other duties as requested.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Understand basic contract and legal terminology
- A keen ability to resolve and decrease delinquency accounts with professionalism and urgency.
- Demonstrated accuracy and sound judgement, proven analytical skills.
- The ability to multi tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends and analysis data
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). CMS systems, and other relevant tools
- Professional verbal and written communication skills are essential for interaction with customers and internal teams.
- Team player with a strong work ethic, high energy and self-motivated.
- Must comply with all Falcon National Banks company policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-year degree in business, finance or related field, highly preferred.
- 5+ years of Accounts Receivable/Collection experience working in a fast-paced environment, required.
- Proven experience in all types of bankruptcies, required.
- General understanding of civil litigation related to collections, required.
- Experience in the Banking or Equipment Finance Industry, preferred.
Pay Range: $29.00 – 36.00/hour. Starting pay is determined based on several factors, which can include the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic area.
