Falcon National Bank adds to its Executive Leadership Team

With sights set on the future, a Chief Technology Officer and Chief Sales Officer join the ranks

St. Cloud, MINNESOTA, March 14, 2022 – Falcon National Bank recently added two executive level professionals to its growing team. Steve Molander joined the bank as Chief Technology Officer in January and Mark Nettesheim filled the Chief Sales Officer role in February.

“Technology and digital is more important than ever in banking”, says John Herges CEO. “Adding a Chief Technology Officer shows we are committed to delivering the best.”

Steve brings 25+ years of leadership experience in helping companies with operational efficiencies, technological evolution, and expansion of secure customer services.

“Steve’s extensive background is impressive as well as his vision of how to leverage technology to provide the best experience for the customer as well as create efficiencies and synergies internally,” says Herges.

As CTO, Steve will lead the bank’s IT and digital teams. “My top priorities are to build upon the existing technologies to further enhance services to our customers, expand portability of our staff to extend personalized banking services outside of our physical locations and to create an environment where technology is transparent to the users”, says Steve Molander.

Prior to Falcon, Molander lead several other financial institutions through transformational periods of change and growth. “What drew me to Falcon was the culture”, says Molander. “It matched those of other highly successful organizations I’ve worked.  They have done a really nice job of bringing in leaders from larger, successful organizations, leveraging everyone’s experiences.”

Also joining the team is seasoned banker, Mark Nettesheim. As CSO, Mark will influence all major revenue driving departments including business banking, SBA, mortgage, retail banking, and equipment finance.

“Mark’s main focus will be bringing even greater alignment between all these departments to support our mission of building long lasting relationships, by providing customers with the best banking experience”, says John Herges, CEO.

With over 15 years of bank management experience, and an alumnus of the Graduate School of Banking and Executive Leadership program through UW- Madison, Mark has a proven track record in leading teams of Commercial, Retail, Small business, Ag, and Mortgage lenders.

“I look forward to working with the sales and marketing team at Falcon,” says Nettesheim. “They have an incredible reputation in the community, and we will work together to build upon that success.”
