Falcon National Bank Acquires Eagle Community Bank

Adding a sixth location to the central Minnesota bank, Falcon National Bank's growth continues to provide the very best in community banking service with a focus on small business and community involvement.

ST CLOUD, MINNESOTA, May 3, 2021 - Foley based Falcon National Bank acquires Maple Grove Eagle Community Bank. The merger was final on April 30th. The Maple Grove location opened its doors on May 3rd as Falcon National Bank.

“This is really exciting news”, says John Herges, Falcon National Bank CEO. “Maple Grove is a growing community, and we are perfectly positioned to deliver a unique approach to serving small businesses and consumers-alike in that market.”

Falcon National Bank has found its niche with products that appeal to the needs of small businesses. SBA Preferred Lending status, commercial lending options that offer flexibility in financing structure, as well as fast loan approvals allow businesses to get started easily and quickly. Falcon National Bank’s digital banking solutions add convenience and efficiencies to the day-to-day operations for small businesses. Additionally, Falcon’s equipment finance and leasing division provides alternative finance options for equipment purchases.

“This merger brings excellent benefits to our customers,” says Jason Erdman, past President of Eagle Community Bank, now Market President of the Maple Grove location of Falcon National Bank. “With an increased lending capacity, we are able to help more customers and in a bigger way,” says Erdman. “Falcon’s digital banking products will offer added convenience to both our consumer and business customers that I think they will really enjoy,” says Erdman.

“This merger will provide greater opportunities for our customers and community,” says Ken Streeter Owner and Chairman of Eagle Community Bank. “We want to thank our customers and community for past business and truly feel they will thrive as customers of Falcon National Bank,” says Streeter.

As a community bank, Falcon’s vision for their business aligns with the pillars of community banking: local focus, relationship banking, agility with local decision-making, and community engagement.

“Falcon embodies the community banking spirit to its core,” says Rebecca Kempenich, CMO of Falcon National Bank. “We find our purpose in providing the tools, resources and trusted partnership to help our customers align financial solutions and strategies that will support their long-term goals,” says Kempenich.

“Beyond that, our philanthropic roots run deep,” says Kempenich. “In all our local markets, we are very intentional about donating our time, talent and treasures to the benefit of the local community. We are looking forward to being a strong supporter of Maple Grove and the surrounding community.”
