POSITION DESCRIPTION  

The Retail Banker II directly serves bank customers in the branch, or over the phone.  The RB II follows Bank customer service and sales processes while performing teller transactions, opening new accounts, and originating loans.  RB II utilizes advanced banking knowledge and experience to cross sell products and services including retail loans.  The position supports the needs of business customers responding directly to inquiries and proactively performing necessary account management duties.

The RB II provides accurate, efficient service and cross sells products and services increasing Customer confidence and strengthening customer relationships.  The Retail Banker II works closely with the Retail and Business banking teams to build and maintain a professional office environment. The Retail banker II understands the customer’s needs, educates the customer on process and possible solutions

 

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work cooperatively with others to ensure effective working relationships between departments and branches.
  • Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service to all customers and team members in person and over the phone.
  • Maintain well-developed knowledge of all products and services to understand and fulfill customer needs.
  • Execute on Falcon sales, & service processes, fulfilling our guarantee as trusted advisors and banking partners.
  • Process consumer, business, and specialty account opening, retail loan originations in accordance with applicable regulations and bank policy.
  • Strong working knowledge of consumer regulations including Reg B, G and Uniform Commercial Code, privacy laws and fair lending laws.
  • Complete complex banking/teller transactions accurately and in compliance with bank policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert among the RB team providing support and answers to product and transaction related questions.
  • Supports the business banking team through portfolio management activities and customer support (payment processing, EFT set up, statements and interest detail).
  • Expand business by cross selling and targeting new growth opportunities.
  • Prepare follow up letters and emails, and complete customer calls in accordance with the Onboarding and account management processes.
  • Assist customers with loan and deposit inquiries, complex account reconciliation, trouble shooting, and research.
  • Ability to work from any location (as assigned).
  • Independently performs quality check work and assists others on loan, and account documentation.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to keyboard and enter numerical data with speed and accuracy.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products and Bank software products.
  • Proficient with general office, and banking equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education and two years related customer service and sales experience preferred
