Falcon National Bank is looking for a Credit Analyst to join our team in Foley, MN.

The Credit Analyst is responsible for the following:

  • Assists Loan Officers and Equipment Finance Division in performing pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests within framework of Bank credit culture, policy and current economic and industry trends.
  • Assists Loan Officers and Equipment Finance Division in gathering data from customers, internal and outside sources; prepares spreadsheets and analyzes financial information including financial statements and tax returns; contacts customers for additional information and clarification of data.
  • Utilize expertise in lending and credit analysis, along with communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills, to enhance the team’s skills and grow our commercial loan and lease portfolio. Knowledge of equipment leasing, SBA 7a, SBA 504 and USDA lending helpful.
  • Analyzes credit bureaus, conducts industry peer comparisons, performs cash flow analyses, completes bank & trade reference calls and other such tasks
  • Writes financial reviews and reports to include, but not limited to; annual reviews, credit presentations and MCFs as well as makes recommendation on loan structures and terms to Loan Officers.
  • Assists Loan Officers in coordinating the processing of approved loans; ensures loans are processed according to agreement, customer needs and conform to Bank lending policies; obtains sufficient information and/or documentation from customers; solves problems relative to processing and servicing of loans.
  • Informs Loan Officers when up-to-date financial statements are needed for commercial accounts; ensures credit inquires and UCC filings are researched to determine credit worthiness and appropriate collateral positioning are achieved
  • Additional responsibilities include participating in the budgeting and strategic planning teams as well as contributing to the formulation, implementation, and administration of commercial lending policies and coordinating with other departments to meet the needs of our customers
  • Assist Loan Officers in the review and renewal of credit facilities; provides back-up support.
  • Checks pledged assets as requested by Loan Officers.
  • Assists Loan Officers in funding of construction loans to include site inspections
  • Order and review independent real estate and equipment appraisals
  • Conduct and review bank evaluations of real estate and equipment values for collateral pledged as security for loans
  • Develops knowledge of financial industry, economy, market conditions, rates, vendors and competition.
  • May represent the Bank in various community, civic, and community reinvestment functions to further enhance the Bank’s image and develop additional business.
  • Reinforces the application of superior customer service through their own example along with appropriate follow through with involved customers and employees.
  • Assists in providing deposit and loan account ratings for Loan Officers.
  • Updates and corresponds with legal counsel and collectors on workouts, bankruptcies, and charge-offs to ensure all possible precautionary actions or measures are taken.
  • Answers telephones, answers questions and directs callers to proper Bank personnel.
  • Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports the Bank’s goals and values; benefits the bank through outside activities.

Candidates with post-secondary education in credit and finance are preferred. Falcon National Bank is activity involved in the community and candidates who have a passion for severing their community are also preferred. The ability to communicate, be detailed, provide excellent customer service, and be self motivated is required.
